Teatro Andromeda, union between man and nature

Theater designed by the shepherd Lorenzo

In Santo Stefano di Quisquina, in the province of Agrigento, there is a very particular theater: teatro Andromeda. Stone theater with a breathtaking view for its thousand meters high above sea level. Surreal place born from the inspiration of Lorenzo Reina, a shepherd who over the years has earned the title of artist. Special features of this theater, in addition to the artist, the altitude, the breathtaking view, is the conformation of it, or of its 108 seats made of stone blocks, positioned so as to trace the stars that form the constellation of Andromeda.

Lorenzo Reina

Growing up in a family of shepherds, out of necessity, he too began this life from the age of 7 years. It is perhaps because of this experience of his, to be a child of nature and the silence that surrounds it, that he was able to develop his particular vision of the world, and consequently his art. Artist now recognized by the Italian artistic community, including the 54th Venice Biennale.

Art farm: this is Teatro Andromeda

It is the artistic complex within which Teatro Andromeda is located. Inside there are numerous sculptures, which form a perfect union between man and nature. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for an opening to the public. In fact, for the moment it is possible to visit it only by taking part in one of the shows who organize themselves on site, such as the “Rosa Das Rosas” concert by and with Ginevra Gilli on 20 July 2019.

Unique is the sunset seen from this magical place, don’t miss this unique experience, have a look to our site and ask a transfer to reach this place and at the same time visit the towns surrounding. If you prefer the sea and would like to enjoy a unique experience in a completely different scenario than that of the Andromeda Theater, contact our partner who will fully satisfy your desires!
