First stop of the Etna Wine Tasting Tour will be the “honey towns” of Zafferana Etnea. Breathe the peaceful life of one of the most beautiful villages at the feet of the Volcano, famous for the honey production. In one of these enchanting locations, you will be offered a delicious honey tasting to start the day on the right foot!
Next stop of the Etna Wine Tasting Tour, you will move on to an Etna winery dating back to the 1980s, and meet an expert sommelier who will introduce you to the world of Etna wines. Learn the story behind the production of each bottle, from pruning to harvesting. Finally, led by the sommelier, you will have the opportunity to taste six different wines, not only from Mount Etna’s terroir.
Final part of the Etna Wine Tasting Tour, stop at a winery in Linguaglossa where you will meet with a friendly owner and guide. Visit the vineyards, the millstone, walk around the barrels and learn about the tradition of wine production. Here you will be able to taste one red, one white and one rosé wine, all accompanied by a Sicilian lunch. Savor green olives, salami, Sicilian cheese, bread, and the famous pasta dish “alla norma”, followed by a delicious dessert.
Once the lunch will be over, you will get a full visit of the Estate and then, back on the Minivan.
The return to Catania is expected at approximately 5:30pm.

Castiglione di Sicilia is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Catania in Sicily, southern Italy.
Castiglione di Sicilia lies about 160 kilometres east of Palermo and about 40 kilometres north of Catania. Passopisciaro is a frazione of Castiglione di Sicilia situated 12 kilometres from Castiglione di Sicilia, at 645 metres above sea level on the northern slopes of Mt. Etna. Nowadays Passopisciaro has a population of about 500 inhabitants but in years gone by the population was as high as 1,500 people. The village can be reached by taking the SS120 Roman road from Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, or by the Circumetnea Railway. Passopisciaro’s main industry is winemaking, vineyards can be found scattered throughout the entire region.
Linguaglossa is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Catania in Sicily, located on the northern side of Mount Etna where there is also a ski resort with view on the Ionian sea. It was founded on a lava stream in 1566. The name literally means ‘Tongue Tongue’, with lingua and γλῶσσα (glôssa) being respectively the Latin and Greek words for ‘tongue’.
Sights of Linguaglossa include the Chiesa Madre, also known as La Matrice, erected in 1613, and the Church of Saint Giles, who is the town’s patron saint. The Francesco Messina Museum offers a collection of work of Francesco Messina (portraits, horses, ballerinas) and Salvatore Incorpora.
